Shohei Ohtani announced on Instagram that he and his wife welcomed their baby on Saturday, expressing their joy and emotion for birth.
“I am very grateful to my beloved wife who is born to our beautiful healthy daughter,” he said. “My daughter, thanks for putting very nervous but super anxious parents.”
Ohtani also thanked the Dodgers organization and his teammates for support and encourage the administration he had recovered, as well as medical professionals.
On Friday night, manager Dave Roberts said Ohtani was placed on the MLB paternity list.
The 30 -year -old announced at the end of December that he and his wife were waiting.
