Hauger-Thackery and Cairess selected for World Championships

The duo are the first two British athletes to obtain selection for the World Athletics Championships of 2025

After impressive performances on last year, Calli Hauger-Tacings and Emile Caires have reserved their points on the plane to Tokyo.

The couple has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Marathon in the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo and will run with 26.2 miles in the Japanese capital.

Hauger-Tacackery wins the selection after registering 2:21:24 for Sé Sevth in the Berlin marathon last year, after that with 2:22:38 for the sixth in the Boston marathon. She is the second to Paula Radcliffe (2:15:25) in the list of all the United Kingdom marathon.

Meanwhile, Cairess occupied third place in the London Marathon last year with 2:06:46 and then recorded a time of 2:07:29 for the room at the Paris Olympic Games. He is the second to Mo Farah (2:05:11) in the list of all time of the United Kingdom marathon.

The team leader, Paula Dunn, said: “We are delighted to confirm Emile and Calli as the first selected athletes for the World Athletics Championship of 2025. Both have shown world class consistency and performance over the last year and Weon and Weon and Wepy and Wepy and Wepy.

Additional selections for Great Britain and Ni. The team for the World Athletics Championship will be announced in August.
