The head of the world record will compete in the female short obstacle group (100m/100mh). It will mark her first time in the 100 -meter race, and she has a better personal brand of 12.65 in the 100 meters of obstacles, established in May 2021.

Meanwhile, a convincing rematch takes place in the female short sprint races, where Gabby Thomas will challenge his Miami Melissa Jefferson-Wooden rival once again. Jefferson-Wooden beat Thomas in Miami for just one point (18 to 17) to take the title of Slam. Now, Thomas will come out for a second Slam victory after previously claiming the victory in the long sprints in Kingston.
