1024 Bangladeshis rounded up from Ahmedabad & Surat : Gujarat govt

In one of the greatest offensives against Bangladesi who live illegally in Gujarat, the State Police Administration has gathered a total of 1024 Bangladesi from the cities of Ahmedabad and Surat.

Or the trapped, two bangladesi are suspended to be part of a sleeping cell of Al-Qaeda, an Islamic militant organization PAN — The state government declared in a statement here, on Saturday. The Government has given time for all Bangladesi to live in Gujarat surrender to the police, he said, adding that they were currently efforts to deport all those who live illegally in the state.

Deciding that the operation initiated since Friday night is the largest that has been carried out, the state government declared that 890 people of origin of Bangladesh were arrested in Ahmedabad and that an additional were arrested in Surat. The Gujarat police action comes after a terrorist attack against tourists in the Pahalgam region in Kashmira in which 26 people were shot dead. Or those killed, three were from Gujarat.

According to the state government, investigations have been initiated against the Bangladeshes arrested, most of which are believed to reside in Gujarat after having acquired false documents of Western Bengal.
