The commitment of accumulated loans from the Asian bank with India or on December 31, 2024 increased to reach $ 59.5 billion compared to the $ 55.3 billion in 2023.
The bank said that in support of the Indian government that catalyzes robust growth, climate resistant and inclusive, it committed financing worth $ 4.25 billion for 21 projects in 2024.
ADB accumulated assistance to India, such as or December 31, 2024, includes 657 public sector loans, grants and technical assistance of $ 59.5 billion to India. The current adb sovereign portfolio in India includes 78 loans worth $ 16.23 billion.
On May 30, 2023, ADB launched its country association strategy for India, 2023-2027. Aligned with the country’s priority agenda, the strategy accelerates structural transformation, employment creation and climate resistant growth, deepening social and economic inclusion. In the future, key initiatives include a national skills update program, several projects on clean energy transition and transport decarbonization, and programs that will help create jobs.
The Bank will have a Seminar – Business Opportunities with the Asian Development Bank (India) – in Delhi on April 30, where several interested parties, including contractors, supplies, civil society organizations and government officials, can learn about the programming of countries in other ADB countries in Asia and the Pacific and how one can participate in tears outside of India.
It will also feature presentations of Indian government agencies that implement projects funded by EDB in commercial opportunities to its respect projects and the presentation of case studies in vidders successfully granted in ADB.
