Arrow expands retail presence, plans for 40 more stores across India

The international male clothing brand Arrow plans to add 40 stores throughout the country, said Anand Aiyer, CEO of Arrow. Business line.

The brand has launched a new store in the design of HSR, Bengaluru, which marked its thirteenth departure in the city.

“The company is looking for expansion pockets and has a plan to launch about 40 or more stores throughout the country. The expansion is mainly focused on shopping centers, level 1 and metropolitan cities,” Aiyer said.

The brand, which was originally launched in New York, reached Indian markets only in 1993. Since then, they have expanded the types of clothing offered by the store ranging from shirts without wrinkles, sportswear, linen collection, intelligent informal pieces.

When asked about the brand’s expansion plans, Aiyer said: “We are trying to bring many more world trends. We are trying to contribute a younger sensitivity to the brand.” With their collections such as Arrow New York and Arrow Sport, they serve younger consumers and bring modern elements to thesis categories.

In addition to its retail expansion, the brand follows an omnichannel model with presence on electronic commerce platforms. “Our online participation is also equally healthy around 14-15% of our mixture comes from online,” Aiyer told Commercial.

In terms of manufacturing, Arrow receives backward integration from its Arvind Limited parent company. The brand has many partners that help obtain the Indian subcontinent, but also the global supply of products that must be imported from some specific categories such as winter clothes, jackets and specific categories such as Technical Sourics that is not.

“We have a very strong supply in an Indian base and also a global supply according to market needs,” Aiyer added. Only fabrics such as winter clothes, jackets or technical fabrics that cannot be completely obtained from India are imported.
