Professionals and workplaces that work always need portable, reliable systems and do not interpose in easy productivity. A cherry on the top would be an Enterprise laptop that does not burn a hole in the IT department budget. Enter the latest incorporation of Asus Expertbook P1 -Sus to its expanding business alignment. Designed with small businesses and users of daily offices in mind, the P1 promises a balance of performance and practicality, wrapped in a clean and meaningless design. But how good is it kept in the use of real world? We are going to immerse ourselves in the details.
Design
The design of the ASUS Expertbook P1 is simple and functional, something that is commonly found in most entry and medium level business computers. The portable computer chassis is made of durable exterior plastic panels, which felt that it could take daily use, and has an internal reinforced metal chassis, which causes the laptop to seem lasting. The laptop, while it coined an elegant profile at 19.7 mm, could accumulate a feed processor decently. It weighs 1.44 kg, which makes it light and portable.

With a 14 -inch IPS screen with 300 maximum brightness nits, the P1 offers appropriate sharp images for both the work and for informal transmission. Three -sided thin bezels give it an elegant and modern appearance, while the 60 Hz update rate ensures that the screen is designed more for practical use than games or other niche work.
While looking Devil can cry In Netflix, the popular video game franchise program of Devil May Cry that leads the protagonist Dante Fighting Demons daily. The matt finish panel provided a rich color saturation with neutral tons, which is something that I liked. However, the speakers who shot with the Dirac audio had a lower performance, producing a fairly flat audio that often drowning voices, as in Keanewhere only we know. The multipressor microphone mode of the laptop is an outstanding feature, which allows the microphone to collect multiple voices in the same room with impressive clarity. This makes it ideal for group discussions or meetings in which several people speak immediately, improving videoconferences of the general audio experience or voice recordings.

Writing in the expertbook P1 is a joy, thanks to its well -spaced keys and satisfying a key travel of 1.35 mm, which makes it ideal for extended work sessions. The plastic Trackpad responds, with a reliable differentiation of left click and right click. To its functionality is added the digital footprints scanner in the upper right corner of the trackpad, which works for fast session.
The ASUS Expertimement AI Suite is a useful tool for professionals, with characteristics such as minutes of AI meetings, translated subtitles and water marks. In my tests, he transcribed a 14 -minute meeting in just 8 minutes and gave a fairly solid summary with an accuracy of 80%. While it is not faster than some independent tools, the convenience of having everything in one place makes it a useful option to manage meetings tasks.
The laptop sacrifices a variety of ports, with two USB 3.2 GEN2-C, an HDMI port, a USB 3.2 GEN1 type A port and a 3.5 mm audio combination located on the left side of the portable computer. On the right side, you will find an RJ45 Ethernet port, another USB 3.2 Gen1 type-A port and a Kensington Nano lock slot. Although the port configuration is solid, the placement of two USB-C ports on the same side could inconvenience, especially when it comes to loading and connecting to an external monitor. Distributing the ports with one on each side would sacrifice a better functionality, especially for users who prefer devices without clúte it.
The built -in webcam is decent for casual video calls, although it may seem granulated in low light environments. Despite this, it includes a useful privacy shutter, which allows users to physically block the camera when they are not in use. The MYSUS application provides additional functionality for the webcam, which allows characteristics such as the correction of the look, the background blur and other customization options to improve video calls.
Performance
The review unit was equipped with an Intel Core I7-13620H processor of 13º GEN, 32 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. These specifications secured a soft multitasking, from the management of more than 20 Microsoft Edge tabs to running video calls on Zoom and Microsoft equipment.
In Cinebench R24, he obtained 506 (multinuk) and 34 (a single nucleus) for a business device. Tasks such as document edition, spreading sheet management and light transmission were executed, which show their reliability, especially for productivity workflows.
The device also has Microsoft+Copilot and was quite fast (almost instantaneous in the generation of results for a request such as how to protect registration in Windows and similar indications. The processing speed of AI is a redemptive characteristic, the precision of thought is a job. A job at work.
The laptop is equipped with NIST SP 800-155 security compliance, ensuring that it meets high standards for business security. In addition, it includes a BIOS of self -care, which helps protect against failures or system attacks, automatically restoring the essential configuration if necessary. For greater protection, the laptop was also included with McAFe LivaFe, offering a one -year subscription to help safeguard against malware and other security threats.
Battery
The 50 Wh battery is a weak point in a package that would otherwise be well rounded. In the Max Performance configuration, it lasted only 3 to 5 hours, a duration that I edited documents and joined in some video calls. This battery life is disappointing compared to competitors, but I suppose that these laptops are probable to remain connected in the work station of one. The load with the 65W charger included was efficient, reaching 60% in less than an hour. In addition, the instantaneous feature of full load of ASUS allows rapid recharges from 0 to 100 less than an hour, so it is convenient for users who need a quick charge in trouble.
Verdict
The Asus Expertbook P1 is a business portable computer of solid entry level, which offers a lasting design, a good screen and an excellent keyboard. However, its battery life below the average and its average audio performance make it less attractive compared to alternatives such as the HP Probook and Dell Vostro series, which sacrifice the most rounded characteristics.
