Axis Bank’s Digital Rupee app to go offline for major upgrade; here’s what users need to know

Axis Bank is implementing an important update in its mobile digital application, which means that the application will be temporarily insecible from April 18 to April 20, 2025.

To avoid any duration of problems in this time of inactivity, the bank has advised users to exchange their digital rupture balance and move the money to their linked savings account before April 18.

On an SMS alert to customers, the bank said: “The application of Mobile digital rupees of Axis is experiencing an important change. Because of this, the application will not be greedy from 04-18-25 to 04-20-25. Please redeem and transfine its avoidance to avoid.” “”

What is digital rupee?

The digital rupee, an officer known as the Central Bank digital currency (CBDC), is a digital version of the physical currency of India issued by the Bank of the Indian Reserve (RBI). It is a legal tender, it has the same value as the paper money and is interchangeable at the same time (1: 1) with traditional rupees of rupees. What makes it unique is that it represents a direct claim in the Central Bank, and can be used as physical effective, for payments or as a value reserve.

How to register with Axis Bank’s digital rupee wallet

Starting is easy:

1. Download the Axis Bank Rupee Digital Bank application using the official link or the QR code.
2. Choose the SIM card that is linked to your banking savings account.
3. Choose a login method: pin, pattern or digital footprint.
4. Establish a 6 -digit wallet pin.
5. Link your banking savings account and completes a quick Kyc step.
6. Enter the last 6 digits and the expiration date of your debit card to validate.

How to send money using the Rupee digital application

1. Log in the application.
2. Touch the “Send” button.
3. Choose how you want to send money: make a mobile phone number, a contact saved or scanning a QR code.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your transaction.

Where can you use digital rupee?

With Axis Bank’s digital rupe wallet, you can pay the people and stores that strive. It admits wallet transfers to wallet and also allows you to scan the UPI QR codes, so it is an option for everything, from purchases to send money to friends.
