The United States Secretary of the United States, Scott Besent, said there had been a “substantial progress” in the conversations between the team and that of the Vice Primer Chinese Minister, Lifeng in Geneva to deactivate a commercial war between the two largest economies in the world.

Besent said he would give more details on Monday, while the United States trade representative, Jamieson Greer, also in the conversations, said that the differences between the two parties were not as great as the thought preventively.

“I am pleased to inform that we have achieved substantial progress between the United States and China in very important commercial conversations,” Besent told journalists.

Besent said he had informed President Donald Trump about the progress of conversations, and that there would be complete information about the details on Monday.

The conversations had continued on a second day on Sunday, since both parties discussed how to decline a commercial war that threatens to inflict important damage to the world economy.
