The aircraft maintenance repair and review firm (MRO), Daamer plans to transfer its business to NAGPUR and business airplanes owners are exploring alternative locations to park their planes after an eviction warning of the Mumbai airport.
While soon to open, Navi Mumbai airport is the closest and most desirable option, the positions and deposits proposed by the airport are leading operators to find alternative options.
In March, Mumbai LTD International Airport (MIAL) issued a notice to corporate houses, letters and MRO, such as vacancy damage, airplane parking bays for the end of July.
Mial plans to use the vacancy to build a shooting street and stop parking facilities for business aircraft in Mumbai to increase efficiency and reduce congestion.
But the movement is being resisted by airplanes of airplanes that are also upset by proposition positions at Navi Mumbai airport.
According to the reports, the owners and aircraft operators have been asked to pay a rate of ₹ 20 million rupees per “operations base” in Navi Mumbai. Those desired to establish hagars of airplanes in Navi Mumbai are also requested ₹ 100 million rupees in deposits.
“We will not be able to pay the deposit and the rent searched at Navi Mumbai airport. We plan to transfer our maintenance facilities to Nagpur, where we already direct a Mro,” said Rajeva Gupta, executive director of Handamer Group.
Some aircraft operators have begun to look at airports such as Aurangabad, Nashik and Shirdi Airports to park their planes.
“Any temporary or permanent relocation of business aviation operators must be accompanied by an operationally efficient viable alternative at no additional cost for operators,” said RK Bali, managing director, association of business aircraft operators. Bali also asked for a collaborative approach to address the problem and questioned the airport authority to propose a parking rate for the aircraft of the operations. “Any rate of this type must be approved by the airport sector regulator,” he said.
Mial did not respond to an email on the subject.
ESSAR, Reliance and Tata Group have hangars in Mumbai in addition to those of Damages and Air Works Mro. In addition to the hangars, there are 20-25 parking bays for business aircraft in Mumbai.
On Monday, Mial Executives with business aircraft operators for development. Airport executives detected the need to build the skirting street for safety and efficiency reasons. For their part, the operators complained about the deadline of July for the vacancy. “Our entire business in Mumbai. At this point, Navi Mumbai airport is not ready. There is no general aviation terminal for commercial airplanes and clarity regarding maintenance services,” said an executive, “said an executive.
There has been a suggestion that the owners of business aircraft and the letters collect and leave guests in Mumbai and estimate their aircraft in Navi Mumbai or any other alternative airport. However, operators point out that it is not a viable solution, since it will be added to fuel and maintenance expenses.
