An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 hit Sunday morning near Meiktila, a small city in the center of Myanmar, according to the United States geological service.
The earthquake occurred when Myanmar is dedicated to help efforts after a great templar of 7.7 magnitude that also reached the central region of the country on March 28.

Two residents of Wundwin told Associated Press by phone that the earthquake was so strong that people left the buildings and that the ceilings in some homes were damaged.
