The Ministry of Information and Transmission (I & B) has asked television channels to refrain from showing live coverage of defense operations and the movement of security forces. This comes from informing about defense matters after Pahalgam’s terrorist attack.

He said that all television channels must adhere to the rules of rule 6 (1) (P) or cable television (amendment), 2021). The provision establishes: “No program should be carried in the cable service containing live coverage of any anti -terrorism operation by the security forces, in which the coverage of the media will be limited to periodic information by an official operation, until the Government of Gonernmente appropriate

He added that this transmission is violating the rules of cable television networks (amendment), 2021 and is responsible for the action. “Therefore, all television channels are advised that they do not transmit the live coverage of the operation and the anti -terrorist movement for security forces in the interest of national security, said operation concludes,” said advice.

“In addition to legal obligations, it is a shared moral response to ensure that our collective actions do not compromise the entry or security operations of our forces,” the notice added.

The Ministry added that “all interested parties are requested to continue exercising surveillance, sensitivity and responsibility in coverage, defending the highest standards at the service of the nation.”
