The president of the Supreme Court of India, Sanjiv Khanna, on Wednesday recommended the law of La Unión to appoint the Judge of the highest Supreme Court, Judge Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai as the next CJI.
Judge Gavai is scheduled to take an oath as the 52nd CJI on May 14.
CJI Khanna will retire on May 13.
