Karnataka’s prime minister, Siddaramaiah, made a strong tone for social justice, educational empowerment and cultural inclusion at a cultural dialogue event held in Tumkur on Friday.

Siddaramaiah emphasized the urgent need for rational thinking, scientific research and documentation of live experiences to counteract oppression and inequality based on the cast.

“Previously, those who tried to learn Sanskrit or gain education were punished with molten lead poured into their ears. But today we have access to education. Recording their experiences. Talent is not the monopoly of any group,” he said in the event was organized by the Pragathi newspaper, the Cultural Council of Kuruba and the group of educational institutions of Sridevi.

The warning against believing in the mythical narratives that, they argued, were designed to raise the figures at the top to the time that does not win the intellectual abilities of the marginalized communities.

“Do not believe that the stories like Kalidasa become a great poet Becoaus Brahma written sacred syllables in his language, or that Valmiki once was a dacoit. Every time Shudras becomes intellectuals or writes something significant, heirs, stories”, “,”, “,”, “,”, “,”, “,”, “,”, “,” “

He underlined the need for knowledge that challenges traditional doctrines, particularly the karma theory, which has been used to justify inequality. “Our understanding must be rooted in science and critical thinking. Only then can we break the chains of social slavery and tell the truth the fears,” he said.

He also criticized the manusmriti for the discrimination of the promotion caste and emphasized the transforming power of education, echoing dr. Br Ambedkar’s vision. “Education should be used for the elevation of disadvantaged, not to obtain selfish profits,” he said.

It arrives at a time when the ‘caste of caste’ is struggled. On Friday, he said that there was no opposition to the report of the Social and Educational Survey, popular known as ‘caste census’, duration of a special meeting of the state cabinet that the last event was convened to discuss it.
