Heavy rains due to the clouds caused sudden floods and landslides in several areas of the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on early Sunday, leaving three people dead and harmful to houses and roads, the more rescued.
Traffic on the strategic national highway of Jammu-Srinagar was suspended since the road was blocked in almost a place of boxes between Nashri and Banihal due to the slopes and landslides, authorities said.
Hundreds of travelers were stranded on the 250 -kilometer road, the only road for every climate that joins Kashmir with the rest of the country.
A bubble of clouds hit the Seri Bagna village, resulted in the death of three people, including the Aqib Ahmad and Mohd Saqib brothers. The village rescue operation continued when the last reports were used, authorities said.
With the last deaths, five people have lost their lives in incidents related to rain in the Jammu region in two days. Two people, including a woman, were killed and another woman were injured when they were run over by lightning in the Arnas area of the Readi district on Saturday.
The officials said that some 40 residential houses were damaged after a sudden flood hit Dharam Kund’s village. Ten houses were completely damaged, while the rest suffered partial damage.
Police staff rescued more than 100 trapped villagers who rushed to the site despite the continuous downpour, they said.
Several vehicles were dragged into the flood caused by an overflowing current, the authorities said: “The situation is bad … upon my return I will present my report to the main minister”, the main vice minister, Surinder, Choudhary, accompanies those affected Raju (Ramban) and Sajad Shaheen (Banihal).
A senior government official said that it has been massive damage throughout the district due to heavy rains, clouds, high -speed winds, landslides and hail storms.

The lieutenant governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Boodj Sinha, and Prime Minister Omar Abdullah expressed a complaint about the loss of lives and said that all possible assistance is spreading to the affected families.
The district administration, the State Disaster Response Force and rescue teams were at work to guarantee rapid relief, said Sinha.
“The purpose of my visit is to transmit to the people that Omar Abdullah addressed the government with them in this time of complaint,” said the main deputy minister in Ramban.
He said that a detailed report of the attached commissioner will be sought and that the losses suffered by people are attempted.
A traffic department spokesman said that the vehicular movement on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway stopped from both sides due to landslides, landslides and stones in multiple places between Nashri and Banihal.
He said the rain continued along the road and that the travelers were not going to travel on the arterial road until the weather improved and the road cleared.
A stretch of the road near Panthiyal was also swept, the officials said and added that all the applauded people moved to a safe place.
The minister of the Union, Jitendra Singh, appreciated the administration of the district headed by the attached commissioner Baser-Ohq Chaudary for a quick action to save precious lives.
“There was a great storm, multiple landslides and fast winds throughout the night in the Ramban region, including the areas surrounding the city of Ramban. The national road is blocked and unfortunately, there have been three victims and loss of properties for a couple of families,” he said in an X.
“I am constantly contacting the attached commissioner. The district administration deserves appreciation for a timely and immediate action, which helped save several precious lives,” he added.
Udhampur deputy said that all children of relief, financial and otherwise were provident.
“The attached commissioner has been transmitted that, if necessary, whatever is necessary, it can also be provided with the personal resources of the MP. The application is not to panic. All, together, we will overcome this natural calamity,” said Singh.
The leader of NC Farooq Abdullah said that he has reported large -scale damages in the areas of Ramban and Banihal.
“The Government is hurrying its ministers to the affected areas and we will also request the Financial Assistance Center to give adequate relief to people beaten by the disaster,” he said.
