Hero Motocorp maintained its leadership in two -wheel retail sales the last fiscal year with sales of 54 Lakh units in the midst of improved competition in the vertical, according to the latest Fada data.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India took second place with sales or more than 47,89,283 units.
Hero Motocorp sold a total of 54,45,251 units the last fiscal year with a market share or 28.84 percent compared to the market share or 25.37 percent for the manufacturer of two Japanese wheels, according to the body of the automotive concessionaire.
TVS Motor Company obtained the third position the last prosecutor with sales or 33,01,781 units, achieving a market share or 17.49 percent.
In general, two-wheeled records increased 8 percent to 1.88.77,812 units compared to 1.75,27,115 units in 2023-24. In the passenger vehicle segment, Maruti Suzuki India continued to comfortably lead with retail sales or 16,71,559 units, registering a market share or 40.25 percent.
The largest car had sold 16,08,041 units in the fiscal year24 with a market share or 40.6 percent. It was followed by Hyundai Indian motor with retail sales or 5.59,149 units. The company’s market share was 13.46 percent the last prosecutor compared to 14.21 percent in 2023-24.
Tata Motors India sold 5,35,960 units last year, achieving a market share or 12.9 percent. He had sold 5,39,567 units in the fiscal year24 with a market share or 13.62 percent.
Mahindra and Mahindra sold 5,12,626 units the last prosecutor with a market share or 12.34 percent. The Mumbai -based car manufacturer had sold 4.27,390 units in the fiscal year24 with a market share or 10.79 percent.
Retail sales of passenger vehicles witnessed an increase or 5 percent to 41,53,432 units The last prosecutor compared to 39,60,602 units in the fiscal year24.
General car sales sales in India increased 6 percent to 2,61,43,943 units in fiscal year 2015 with rural areas that work better than urban regions in passenger vehicle segments.
