IIT Madras launches new PG Diploma in Emerging Tech domains

The Indian Institute of Madras Technology (Iit Madras) has launched a new postgraduate diploma program (PG Diploma) for new and professionals who work to improve the technical experience relevant to the industry.

The program allows students to access high quality education while caressing the flexibility to follow employment or internships simultaneously, said a liberation of Iit-Madras.

The specializations offered under this program are aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, electrical engineering (integrated circuits, communication and signal processing, multimedia, microelectronics), mechanical engineering (mechanical design, automotive technology), engineering design (moderation) and process safety.

The program format is the in -line classes of the afternoon or the weekend live and access to recorded sessions, which allows students to continue advancing academic while obtaining experience in the industry through or internships. It also implies practical projects and provisional evaluations through remote supervision. The final exams are carried out in designated centers throughout India.

Candidates who work well in the PG diploma also have the opportunity to update to a M.Tech title enabled for Iit Madras.

The classes for the PG Diploma course begin from August/September 2025. The applications are open and the interested candidates are encouraged to run until May 2025. Admissions are through an entrance exam, which will be carried out in July 2025.
