 India accounted for nearly 7 per cent of total ad accounts suspended on Google

Almost 7 percent of the total advertising accounts suspended by Google had their headquarters in India, said the release of Google Duration from their advertising security report by 2024.

On Wednesday, Google published its report that listed the number of advertisements acted in line with their editor ads and policies. In general, the platform eliminated 5.1 billion ads and suspended more than 39.2 million accounts of advertisers worldwide. Specific for India, Google eliminated 247.4 million ads and suspended 2.9 million ads accounts.

“Within those 39 million [suspended accounts]Almost 3 million of those suspended accounts were based in India. Then, India has a material component of the thesis actors that we are in real prevention entering the system that we praise for being bad or providing fraudulent ads or scammers in our systems, “said Alex Rodríguez, general manager, advertisement security.

He added that the 2024 numbers for suspended accounts are approximately three times the amount suspended in the previous year. Since most of these suspensions are occurring before accounts can produce any evil in the system, this is a key role in prevention action.

9.1 Restricted ads worldwide

Worldwide, Google restricted around 9.1 billion ads in addition to blocking/restricting ads at 1.3 billion editorial pages and a broader site level compliance action in approximately 220,000 editorial sites. The rupture of restricted ads is as follows: legal requirements with 428.8 million advertisements, financial services with 268.3 million ads, gambling and games with 108.9 million ads, Copyright with 115.1 million ads and Care Halethcare. In terms of electoral ads, Google said you eliminated around 10.7 million ads.
