The protests against the WAQF (amendment) law became great violence last week in the district of Murshidabad, where three people died and several other wounds. Generalized violence has lit a political storm in Bengal.
When addressing a meeting of Muslim religious leaders, Banerjee said that if Bangladesh’s “external” elements were involved in violence in Murshidabad, then the central government should be considered responsible.
He also accused the Interior Minister of the Union, Amit Shah, of “controlling” all central agencies and “damaging the nation for his own political agenda.” She urged Prime Minister Narendra to “control” his Interior Minister.
“I would like the prime minister to maintain a control over Amit Shah. He is damaging the country more to serve his political interests. Why is he (Shah) with such a hurry? He will never become the prime minister. And what will he do: Hiss Ji must control it,” Banerjee said.
“I saw a tweet yesterday citing sources from the Interior Ministry that Bangladesh is involved in this (Murshidabad violence). If that is the case, the central government is responsible since BSF protects the borders, he says.
Compensation of ₹ 10 Lakh
She announced compensation for victims in violence. “The state government will pay ₹ 10 Lakh each for families whose members were killed. Who residences were looted, the government will give them Banglar BariAnd those whose stores were shattered, our main secretary will evaluate the damage and compensate them (they), he said.
Banerjee, the supreme of the Trinamool Congress, urged the prime minister not to implement the “atrocious” Waqf (amendment) law, warning that the country would divide.
She claimed that despite the volatile situation in neighboring Bangladesh, the center ran through the WAQF (amendment) law and allowed illegal cross -border infiltration. And contributed to the riots in western Bengal.
In particular, at an urgent hearing last Saturday, the Superior Court of Calcutta ordered the deployment of central forces in the Murshidabad district dominated by Muslims.
BJP’s opposition claimed that some 400 people fled the district affected by security violence. “More than 400 Hindus of Dhulian, Murshidabad, promoted by fear of fans, were forced to flee through the river and take refuge in the PAR LALPUR High School, the Assembly of Deonapur-Savapur, Baisnabnagar, cursed persecution, the Suvendu Adhikari assembly.
“The TMC appeal policy has emboldened radical elements. Hindus are being hunted (below), our people are postulated for their lives in their own land! Shame for the state government for allowing this breakdown of the law and order,” Adhikari added.
