No dearth of money, aim to make 100 km of highways a day: Minister Gadkari

The Minister of the Road and Roads Transportation Union, Nitin Gadkari, said on Tuesday that the center plans to build 25000 km or roads from two to four lanes to a rate or 100 km per day.

When heading to the national leadership conclave of Aima, he said that there is no shortage of money to build roads, and soon India will make better roads than the United States.

The minister said that a transformation of the road sector, in turn, would transform the lot of the farmers of India when making the money spent in oil imports to the construction materials derived from AGRI.

Ethanol manufacturing

He pointed out that doing ethanol from corn has raised corn prices well above the minimum support price.

Besids, Gadkari said that in the manufacture of ethanol of the rice straw, the lignin of by -products is being used in the construction of roads.

Answering a question about the congestion of urban traffic, as well as slow -travel speeds, he said that cities problems are linked to rural problems.

Gadkari said that India needs to think not only in making smart cities but also smart peoples so that villagers do not have to migrate to cities.

“If the GDP agriculture part reaches 22 percent, there would be no migration,” he said.

Admitting that the construction of high steps in cities has not solved traffic problems, he said that India has to address its population and car growth problems.

Hello, he added that people migrate to cities because they lack jobs, schools and hospitals.

He emphasizes that India needs new satellite cities with rapid transport.

In addition, Gadkari pointed out the practice of rich people who build large houses without parking and use roads as free parking.

In the front of green mobility, he said that India was looking to acquire the technology of Flash Flash electric buses for urban transport. He said that thesis buses of 135 seats are 40 km with less than a minute.
