Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmira, qualifying a “cowardly conspiracy” aimed at stopping normality. Modi said those responsible would be firmly occupied, promising the “hardest response” and rapid justice.

The attack, which occurred on April 22, left several dead and sent shock waves throughout the country.

Modi expressed a deep anguish, stating that the pain was shared by 140 million Indians. “The blood of each Indian is boiling … The enemies of Kashmir do not want vibrant schools, democratic progress or flourishing tourism,” Hey said.

He called the incident a desperate attempt of terrorists and their managers to undo the gains of the sea in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years, ranging from growing tourist footsteps to a better infrastructure and growing employment opportunities.

“The perpetrators and conspirators of this attack will be treated with the response of the resin,” he said.

While extending the condolences to the families of the victims, the prime minister reiterated that such acts would not be allowed to break the resolution of the nation.

“The solidarity of 140 million Indians is our greatest strength,” he said, adding that the national unit remains the cornerstone of the country’s anti -terrorism strategy.

The global condemnation of the attack, he said, highlighted the growing international recognition of terrorism as a shared threat.

Fighting terrorism

In a broader message, the prime minister reaffirmed the commitment of India to combat terrorism, both inside and beyond its borders. “Today the world is looking, and the whole country speaks with one voice,” he said, closing with a reminder of the force found in the collective will.

“We have to strengthen our resolution to face this challenge that has emerged before the country. We have to demonstrate a strong willpower as a nation. Friends, the anger that we people in India feel, that anger is there in the world of whores.” The prime minister said.

In the midst of the gloomy tone, the direction also touched the recently achievements of India, from successful space missions to the basic innovation and sustainability efforts.
