PM to inaugurate India Steel 2025 event in Mumbai on Apr 24

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the India Steel 2025 event what begins on April 24 in Mumbai, an official statement said Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Steel, the three -day event will see a participation of more than 12,000 commercial visitors, 250 exhibitors and 1,200 delegates of the conference that represent several sectors, government departments, state governments, India and Domestegations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the flagship event of the steel industry on April 24, the Ministry said.

The meeting will be directed through the videoconference in the presence of the Minister of Steel Industries and Heavias HD Kumaraswamy, and Minister of State for Steel and Heavias Industries Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma.

The Prime Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, and Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai’s Prime Minister will also attend the event.

This sixth edition of the Biennial International Conference will bring together the main interested parties of the entire global steel value chain to discuss the future trajectory of the sector, with a strong approach to growth, sustainability, resistance and innovation.

India is in a trajectory to achieve a production capacity of 300 million tons and a per capita consumption or 160 kg by 2030, in line with the national steel policy.

The event will also focus on issues such as increasing domestic consumption, showing futuristic steel applications and fostering global associations.

The event will also have a presence of world industry leaders and senior foreign dignitaries leading high -level delegations, including the vice minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation, Australia, Mozambique and Mongolia ambassadors, said the ministry of dependency.
