The Telangana Prime Minister, a Revanth Reddy, sought the financial support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the main urban infrastructure projects in the state.
Reddy leads the official delegation of Telangana Rising. These include phase 2 of the Hyderabad Metro railway, the rejuvenation of the Musi River, the radial roads that connect Orr and the regional ring roads (RRR) and other infrastructure projects.

The Telangana government is interested in JICA’s support for the loan component of 48 percent of the project, which is approximately ₹ 11,693 million rupees. He also explained that the financing norms of the foreign debt of the Indian government were strictly being followed by the state government.
