Sarvam AI backed by Venture capital of Lightspeed will develop the first Indian AI platform in six months, the company’s founder said on Saturday.
The Ashwini Vaishnaw Minister announced the Sarvam AI team to develop the first Genai platform in India.
“We are sure that Sarvam’s models will be competitive with global models,” Vaishnaw said.
The minister requested a schedule to develop the platform from the founders of Sarvam who committed that in six months.

The Government will assign 4069 GPU to Sarvam for six months for the development of India’s own language models with 70 billion parameters.
