A delegation of the Satellite Internet Services Company by Elon Musk Starlink with the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, for discussion of Indian associations and plans.

“With a Starlink delegation, which includes vice president Chad Gibbs and senior director Ryan Goodnight. The discussions covered the Starlink tip technology platform, his existing associations and future investment plans in India,” Goyal said.

Last month, the largest telecommunications service providers in India, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, signed Musk Spacex agreements to offer Starlink broadband internet services to their clients in India.

Starlink aims to provide high -speed Internet to remote and unattended areas, improving connectivity for individuals, companies and communities. But the price and speed details have not yet been completed.

The company has been waiting since 2022 for commercial operating licenses in India, but faced several regulatory obstacles, including adherence to strict security protocols.

After associating with Airste de Sunil Bharti and Jio led by Mikesh Ambani, expectations are that the company can now obtain its long -awaited license.

Goyal’s meeting with senior Starlink officials is an indication that the government may be willing to accelerate the process.

Both Airstel and JIO initially had opposed the Starlink entrance to the Indian market, since they feared that the proposed administrative allocation of the spectrum (instead of the spectrum auction) would give Starlink an unfair advantage and interrupt the market.
