The West Bengal Prime Minister, Mamata Banerjee, announced on Saturday that the WAQF (amendment) law will not be implemented in the state, after violent protests in the Muslim majority of the Murshidabad district, in less than three dead dead and dead dead.

At least three people, including a father-son duo, were killed, and more than 138 arrested after the protests became violent in the blocks of Suti and Samsergerj de Murshidabad.

In an attempt to pacify the agitated protesters, the principal minister clarified that the law in question was legislated by the center and not by his government.

“Remember, we did not make the law on which many are agitated. The law was made by the central government. Therefore, the answer you want must be sought from the central government,” Banerjee said in a publication about X.

“We have made clear our position on this matter: we do not support this law. This law will not be implemented in our state. So what is the riot?” She asked.

In the light of growing violence, the Secretary of the Interior of the Union, Govind Mohan, celebrated a videoconference with the main secretary of the West Bengal and DGP to review the situation.

The Interior Ministry reiterated to its group about the breakdown of the law and order in Murshidabad.

Almost 300 border security force personnel (BSF) were already parked in the district, and the center deployed five additional central forces to help restore order.

In one of the most disturbing incidents reported so far, a father and a son were found stabbed inside his home in Jafrabad, located in violence hit the Samserganj area.

Family members alleged that the Malcritos looted their home and then fatally attacked both of them before fleeing.

In a separate incident, a 21 -year -old suffered bullet wounds in Sajur in Suti on Friday and succumbed to his wounds in the Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital on Saturday night, said the officer.

Violence continued to stand out in some areas on Saturday too.

Two Bidi factory workers, including a minor child, suffered injuries in the bullet while they were heading to Dhulian work in Samsergerj.

Both are being treated in the Murshidabad Medical College and, according to the reports, they are stable.

The additional general director (law and order) Jawed Shamim told journalists in Kolkata that so far a total of 138 people have been arrested in relation to the riots.

The violence, which exploded on the WAQF (amendment) law of the central government, led to mass interruptions. The protesters set fire to police vehicles, blocked the roads and the property of broken railways.

The trains services in the new section of Farakka-Azimganj of Eastern Railway were interrupted for almost six hours between the stations of Dhuliandanga and Nimtita on Friday.

Prohibitive orders have been imposed on various parts of Murshidabad, and Internet services have been suspended to avoid greater escalation.

DGP Rajev Kumar warned or strict action against those involved in violence.

“This is a fight between good and evil. Rumors must be arrested.

Appealing to La Paz, CM Banerjee urged people through communities not to fall prisoners.

In a publication about X, he wrote: “My sincere attraction for people of all religions, please remain calm, remain restricted. Do not participate in any irreligious behavior in the name of religion. All human life is precious for the good of the police for the good of the police”

Meanwhile, the BJP leader, Suvendu Adhikari, wrote to the Minister of Railroad Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding an investigation by the National Research Agency (NIA) on the vandalism of rail property during protests.

“That it is known that this was not an act of protest, but an act of premeditated violence, an assault on democracy and governance of jihadist forces that seek to spread chaos to affirm their domain and sowi among the boobs or in the position.
