Demanding a judicial investigation into the greatest violence in the District of Murshidabad of Western Bengal, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) alleged Sunday that the governor of the Trinamool Congress and the BJP of the opposition were involved in a “competitive assembly” for political profits.

The frontal organizations of CPI (M) and several organizations of leftists and farmers celebrated a mega rally in the iconic land of the Kolkata brigade brigade to press for their demands.

When addressing the Rally, the Secretary of State of CPI (M), Mohammed Salim, said: “We want a judicial investigation into the disturbances of Murshidabad to highlight the truth. The TMC and BJP are involved in competitive communalism, which is a desperate stratagema is a desperate employee of the strategy, and corruption, which affect common people.” “

The protests against the WAQF (amendment) law became a longer duration of violence from April 11 to 12 in the Murshidabad district dominated by the Muslims, where three people were killed and several other wounds.

Referring to the WAQF (amendment) law presented by the government led by Narendra Modi, Salim accused the center of betraying people. “The law has been amended. There is a national protest against it. But the riots did not take place anywhere, except Murshidabad in Bengala. That raises serious questions,” he emphasized.

The leader of the CPI (m) alleged that both the BJP and the Trinamool Congress were “helping each other” to polarize voters in the period prior to the surveys of the Assembly in 2026.

“The BJP and the TMC are helping each other to believe an atmosphere in the name of religion and people are divided into the state,” Salim added.

The governor of Western Bengal, CV Ananda Bose, visited Murshidabad on Saturday and interacted with the affected people, including the relatives of the father and son duo who were killed, duration of recent violence.

A delegation from the National Women’s Commission (NCW) also visited Murshidabad and said he will submit his report to the center.

Chandan Das and his father, Hargobind Das, were killed to death by a mafia in the town of Jafrabad in Shamsherganj. Shamsheranj, Dhulian and Suti witnessed widespread violence in the Murshidabad district during protests against the WAQF law (amendment).
