The servers of the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) decreased for the third time in a month, which led to transaction failures between banks and payment applications, said the National Corporation of Payments of India (NPCI) today.

“NPCI currently faces intermittent technical problems, which leads to a partial decrease in the UPI transaction. We are working to solve the problem and keep it updated. We regret the unconsciousness caused,” he said.

According to the Down detector, more than 2,000 people reported that their UPI transactions were not successful. UPI transaction failures occur due to two reasons: NPCI servers will be inactive or due to a technical decrease (where a bank server does not work correctly).

At present, the amount of the transaction for UPI, which covers both person to person (P2P) and payments from person to merchant (P2M), has a limit of ₹ 1 Lakh, except for specific cases of use of P2M payments that have higher limits, some Lakh and others to ₹.
P2P transactions in UPI will continue to be limited to ₹ 1 Lakh
