The McKinsey consultants are using the company’s AI platform to take care of the tasks of traditional leg employees.

Kate Smaje, the global technology leader and McKinsey’s AI, said Bloomberg On Monday, McKinsey employees are increasingly taking advantage of Lilli, the internal AI platform that the company launched in 2023 (while employees can use Chatgpt internally, Lilli is the only client date. It allows the data to enter data.

About 75% of McKinsey’s 43,000 employees are now using Lilli Monthly, Smaje revealed. Lilli is named Lillian Dombrowski, the first woman hired by McKinsey in 1945.

Through Lilli, McKinsey consultants can create a PowerPoint slide presentation through a application and modify the presentation tone with a tool called “voice tone” to ensure that the text is aligned with the ingenious style of the company. They can also write proposals for customer projects while maintaining the standards of the company, finding internal experts of the subject and trends in the research industry.

Lilli has advanced enough to take tasks typically assigned to Junior employees, but Smaje says that does not mean that McKinsey hires Fower Junior analysts.

“Do we need armies of business analysts who believe PowerPoints? No, technology could do it,” Smaje told Bloomberg. “It is not necessarily that I will have feer of them [analysts]But they will do things that are more valuable to our customers. “

McKinsey said Business intern That Lilli received training in all the intellectual property of the company, finding about 100,000 documents and interviews in the almost 100 years of company history. McKinsey employees who use Lilli turn to him 17 times a week on average, said a partner of McKinsey Senior BI.

A case study published on the McKinsey website shows that Lilli responds approximately half a million indications each month, saving the workers 30% of the time they would have spent collecting and synthesizing information.

Consulting companies have AI for years. Bain consultants have access to Sage, a chatbot of Openai. In Boston Consulting Group, employees use an AI Dickster tool to adjust their PowerPoint presentations.

Meanwhile, in other companies, AI is a delivery task once complete by human workers. The IBM CEO, Arvind Krishna, said last month that the company replaced hundreds of human resources employees with AI, then used the resources released to hire more programs and vendors.

A report by Signalfire, a risk capital company that tracks about 650 million employees in LinkedIn, discovered that new graduates represented only 7% of the new hiring in 2024 in Big Tech Companions, 25% of 2023, since IA takes all tasks.
