The Digital Nutrition Company Culina Health announced a new association on Tuesday that seeks to expand access to nutritional care of insurance.

The Startup based in New Jersey is joining forces with Adventist Healthcare, a health system with more than 50 care locations in the Washington Metropolitan Area, DC. Culina Health is becoming part of the Adventist Medical Health Alliance, which is an integrated clinical network of more than 2,400 suppliers.

According to this association, the members of the Alliance and their patients will have direct access to dietitians from Culina Health, who provide patients with virtual and personalized nutritional advice.

Many of Startup registered dietitians are trained to provide specialized advice, such as diabetes, menopause, sustainable weight loss and cancer nutrition.

“Good nutrition is key to handling chronic conditions and promotes better general health. We want our suppliers and member patients to have access to this comprehensive component for better health and well -being. Doctors and other suppliers of the Alliance of Clinical Halicitic Halicitic Physicians,” said Mary Kim, vice president of health of the population in Adventist health, in a statement.

Doctors in the Adventist Alliance can refer directly to the dietitians of the health of Culina within the EHR.

This makes it easier for patients to obtain nutritional care in a timely manner, said the CEO of Culina Health, Vanessa Rissetto.

“For patients, who are on board in attention within 24 hours, this means a perfect connection with a personal dietitian within a week without a waiting list, and includes guidance on insurance coverage, fast and easy health and virtual care inbom since the promotion of the promotion from the visits,” Rissetto explained.

Only 0.02% of Americans have worked with a dietitian, mainly due to accessibility problems, he said.

He pointed out that many patients do not think that nutritional advice is something they can pay, so they have never done only a supporter.

“Open the possibility of working 1: 1 with a registered dietitian empowers patients to make everyday changes to live a healthier life,” Rissetto said.

An association with a large clinical network helps Culina Health in its mission of making people aware that nutritional advice can be available for them at little cost through their health plan, Rissetto said.

“The Association with Health Systems is a large part of this. We already support many of the practices within the clinical integrated network, so when extending our attention within the members of the Medical Alliance of Adventist Healthcare, of Opportunity more than 2,400 suppliers in the Alliance.

To measure the success of this association, Culina Health will track metrics such as weight loss, A1C, cholesterol and reduction in systolic blood pressure, Rissetto said.

For your health system partner, cost savings through small complications, hospital short stages and the decrease in readmission rates will be important metric, he added.
