The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASP) supports our members, their families and personnel, patients and communities in southern California, since they face the devastating effects of forest fires in their area. Our thoughts are with all those who have displaced their legs, experience losses or face significant challenges during this difficult time. We admire the courage and dedication of all medical and emergency personnel as they continue to provide attention to the extreme personal and professional adversity.
ASPS has been in contact with the Society of Plastic Surgeons in California (CSP), which encourages those interested in offering direct assistance to contributing to the American Red Cross, which is in the field that supports residents in southern California and the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“CSPS is here to support members in this crisis and their consequences and work with local and regional societies,” says CSPS Secretary Katerina Gallus, MD, Facs.
