“Our study shows that two topical therapies of effective treatment of medium -sized or older adults,” says Saraya Wyles, MD, PHD or the Department of Dermatology of the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. “With both types of free sale products, the results seem similar or superior to those of the most invasive treatments.”
Direct comparison of HPE versus vitamin C for the photographic of the hands
Brown spots on the hands, sometimes called age spots or liver spots, are a common cosmetic problem falls due to sun damage to the skin. Treatments for rejuvenation and skin resurgence, such as chemical shells, injectables and intense pulsed or laser light treatments, have focused mainly on the face, with less attention to the hands and other visible parts of the body.
In recent years, products with human platelet extract containing – platelet exosomes (HPE) have attracted “tremendous attention” as topical treatments for the photographic of the skin. Derived safely from processed human platelets without special, HPE products have shown improvements in the general appearance of the skin.
Topical products that contain vitamin C and other antioxidants also have a leg show to reduce facial aging signs. Dr. Wyles and his colleagues designed a clinical trial to compare HPE and Vitamin C to treat the photographic of the hands.
The study included 60 patients, with an average age or 52.5 years, with a moderate photographic on the back (back) by hand. Each patient followed a standardized skin care routine, which includes topical applications twice a day of HPE to the right hand and vitamin C on the left hand. Digital images and other evaluations were used to evaluate measures or photos after 12 to 26 weeks of use.
HPE and Vitamin C “are effective treatments for skin rejuvenation”
Based on a wide range of photographic parameters, the topical HPE was “not lower” to vitamin C. After 12 weeks, the two products produced similar reductions in the area of the skin affected by brown spots and wrinkles and color networks.
At 26 weeks, the fractional brown area had decreased by approximately 23% with topical HPE and 26% with vitamin C. The result measures were not statistically different between the two topics. The document includes photos of before and after illustrating the improvement observed with both topics.
The results with both topics were similar to those reported in previous clinical trials of intense pulsed light therapy, a failed non -surgical treatment for the photographic.
