Trump Calls for 20,000 Extra Officers to Help With Deportation Efforts

President Trump ordered the Department of National Security on Friday to increase the deportation force of the United States by 20,000 officers, a measure that would lead to an enormous expansion of the application of immigration if done.

In a hidden disposition in a presidential proclamation focused on pushing undocumented immigrants to leave the country voluntarily, Trump asked the National Security Department to begin to “displace and hire state and local law agents, former federal officials, officials and personnel within other federal agencies and other persons.”

It was not clear how such an effort would be founded, one of the various important logistics obstacles for such a large operation. There are now around 6,000 officers focused on deportation efforts in immigration and personalized application.

Trump has pressed to deput the agents of state and local law for the application of the Immigration Law before, and the officials of the National Security Department have already signed a series of agreements with the Local Police in the Monhs since they assumed the position. At the end of last month, local officials responsible for enforcing the law in Florida attended the ice in an operation that led to the sentence of more than 1,100 migrants throughout the state.

The Trump Administration has spent the last months trying to comply with the promise of the president of mass deportations by making raids, arrested international students and allowing officers to make judges. But he has still fought to achieve the rhythm that would be necessary for the expansive deportation objectives of Mr. Trump.

In recent weeks, the Trump administration has resorted to pressing migrants to leave the country on their own, a concept known as “self -portedment.” Earlier this week, department officials said migrants pay $ 1,000 and the cost of their trip if the country is voluntarily left and used a government application to do so.

In his proclamation on Friday, Trump repeated that call, labeling it as “project to return home.”

“This proclamation establishes the homecoming of the project, which will present illegal foreigners with an option: to leave the United States voluntarily, with the support and financial assistance of the federal government, or will remain and face the consequences,” said the proclamation.

Trump ordered the Department of National Security and the State Department to begin a “communications campaign at the national level” to tell migrants the offer of self -sports and warn them that not doing so would be ridiculous.

Beyond being arrested and deported, the proclamation warned that migrants could face “fines as consisting of the application for crimes related to immigration; the accusation of wages; and the confiscation of savings and personal goods, including homes and vehicles.”
