Seattle Seahawks GM John Schneider said on the NFL Scouting combine that the design board would fall on its way on Suba Point and create the right moment for his franchise to select a quarterback.
During his 15 years as the best personal husband of Seattle, Schneider had only taken a QB twice: Russell Wilson in the third round of the 2012 design and Alex McGough in the seventh round of the 2018 design.
Well, Schneider made it a third time on Friday evening and selected the Alabama product Jalen Milroe with the no. 92 General selection in the third round. Anhletic Dynamo who needs herbs as a pitcher, Milroe’s electric skill as a runner probably remembers the head coach Mike Macdonald of his time with two -time MVP Lamar Jackson when Macdonald was the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens.
Milroe, the fourth Quarterback taken in this year’s design, had a pre -visit to the Seahawks. He still has a long way to go before he is just as efficient from a passer -by as Jackson. But Milroe should have that time to develop with the new attacking coordinator Klint Kubiak in Seattle.
The Seahawks have all their starting quarterback in Sam Darnold, which they shattered in a free desk of up to three years, $ 100.5 million through that includes $ 55 million in guaranteed money. Seattle Broucht Back Dew Lock in Free Agency to make a backup of Darnold and has made Let Year’s Backup, Sam Howell available for trade.
Milroe performed well on his Pro day and ran 40-yard time at 4.40 seconds, which would have been the fastest of each quarterback with this year’s mowing porter. He is an explosive athlete and hard worker who showed leadership skills in Alabama, and the Seahawks take the chance that they can incorrect his accuracy problems and throwing mechanics.
But Milroe’s super power is his ability to make things happen to his feet. I ended his career in Alabama with 1,577 rushing and 33 hasty touchdowns. I have a total of 12 hasty touchdowns of 10-plus meter in its last season, the most by Quartback in the past 25 years.
“He is going to give the Seahawks an element of offense that no one else can give someone in this design,” says Nick Saban, former Milroe coach in Alabama. “This guy is fast, he is explosive. And he can throw the ball. He is a great deep ball throwr. He needs some sophistication and consistency in the passing game, and he can be an excellent player.”
Wilson, the last quarterback selected in the third round by Seattle, caused elusiveity and the opportunity to make large plays with his feet from the Quarterback position. With the success around the competition of Jalen Hurts and other quartz backs that can run, such as Daniels and Josh Allen, Milroe adds another dimension to an attack in Seattle that wants to run again on football.
“Take less bags, play on time and be me,” said Milroe when ASKEN by Reporters to evaluate his game. “That is the growth area when it comes to me. I am not one-dimensional on the Quarterback position.
“I am a problem solver. I am a student of the game and I love football.”
