They didn’t need him anymore and didn’t need anything from Garland, their all-star guard who was out of a sprained toe.

“Look, our boys really want this, and it seems that our boys don’t do that,” said Hittecoach Erik Spoelstra. “But I know how our six weeks have been, just to fight and scratch and claw to get into this.”

Bam AdeBayo scored 22 and Davion Mitchell added 16 for Miami. The Worsst Heat Playoff loss before Saturday was a 36-point interrogations in Game 3 of the NBA Finals 2013 in San Antonio.

That heat team won an NBA title. This heat team is about to be swept.

“This is our reality now,” said heat grower Tyler Herro. “I tolerate the boys, it’s not time to let go of the rope. We are going to play for the last buzzer, and whether that is the next game, game 5, 6, 7, another series below, you just have to keep playing. That is what we have paid for. And that is who we are as an organization. We want competence. We don’t go out 4-0.”

He knows that Miami is now confronted overwhelming opportunities. Just like that became 15-6 Miami 39-20 Cleveland.

“We took the first blow,” said Mobley. “And from there we just took over the game.”

It was 62-42 during the break and Cleveland missed his first eight shots of the second half. But Miami only scored four points during that period and wasted a chance. Cleveland led 88-64 in the fourth and that was it.
