Ferrari had ‘clumsy’ Canadian GP says Nico Rosberg as F1 team admit ‘too many mistakes’ made in Montreal

Nico Rosberg believes that Ferrari’s “clumsy” Canadian Grand Prix Weekend has summarized their disappointing season so far.

Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finished respectively in Montreal in Montreal when the team returned to third place in the construction championship behind Mercedes, who claims an impressive result of one three.

There were again sporadic flashes of strong speed of Ferrari’s SF -25, in particular from Leclerc – but the Monegasque missed the second training on Friday after crashing in the first session of the day and De Made made a mistake in his final round of qualifying gravy. All.

Hamilton’s Sunday was meanwhile committed after his car was compared when it structured a Groundhog in round 13.

Thinking about the frustrating weekend of the Scuderia on the latest edition of The F1 Show2016 Rosberg world champion said: “We have to remember that Charles Leclerc was sometimes quickly in the race.

“He was very fast; he kept the McLarens at seeing the McLarens. He was quickly in qualifying.

“I think they have also done the wrong tire choice in qualifying [by not running the medium tyre in Q3].

“So many strategy errors there are also in the race that they put Lewis in a bunch of traffic that lost a lot of racing time.

“They also had free opportunity to try a one-stop with Charles. It was a free chance, but they didn’t try to do it.

“There were just Lewis and a lot of space, there were just nobody, and they counted that he waceted to stay outside for longer.”

Rosberg added: “So it was a bit of an awkward weekend from Ferrari.

“It is also out of luck with the Groundhog. So it all came together, which is not good.

“It is just like the story of their year so far, right? It just keeps going, it’s a difficult thing for them.”
