Just call Bryce Perkins the TouchDown maker.
Through three games, the Quarterback of the Michigan Panthers is responsible for five touchdowns (three hasten and two passes). Perkins have completed 69% of his passes for 488 yards and hurled 74 more. His ability to make things happen in the air and on the ground is one of the main reasons why the Panthers are one of the top teams that beat the UFL in week 4.
“Bryce’s energy is really good,” said Michigan’s head coach Mike Nolan. “I still tried to hurt everyone, but he fell for a few extra meters.”

Perkins immersed in Forjured Startkwartback Danny Etling – I had the game after a big hit – early in the Michigan game last week. With Etling (concusion) inactive for this week, Perkins takes over as the full -time starter of Michigan. Perkins achieved the UFL -offensive player of the week for his game in the victory of the Panthers at the San Antonio Brahmas in week 3.
Although sometimes a bit reckless, the Panthers (2-1) will continue to ride the relay energy of Perkins while they organize the Memphis Showboats (0-3) in the opening match of week 4 on Friday evening (8 p.m. at Fox and the Fox Sports App).
Saturday functions for Doublehead, starting with the Arlington Renegades (2-1) who organize the St. Louis Battlhawks (2-1) in Choctaw Stadium (12:30 pm et) and follow Houghnecks (1-2) in TDUEC Stadium (7 pm ET on Fox).
The DC Defenders – the only remaining undefeated team of the competition – organize the Brahmas, who are still looking for their first victory of the season, on Audi Field (5 pm et on Fox and the Fox Sports App).
Here is a further look at five things to look at in week 4:
1. QB Nolan Henderson Takes the starting role for Roughnecks
Head coach Curtis Johnson finally handed the runway to Henderson, the backup of the team in the season, after he led Houston to a comeback victory on Memphis last week -the first victory of the Roughnecks in a calendar year.
Henderson took over in the second half for starter Anthony Brown and went 10-off-11 for 80 yards and a score.
“It seemed as if it (the ball) came on time,” said Johnson about Henderson’s performance in week 3. “We got in our quick attack and I thought he was doing excellent work. It is an honor to him. We are not wrong, and subtimes we are not wrong, but this child – he never shortened.
“I went to phenomenal young man.”
Brown 19 of 41 passes (46.3%) for 167 yards, one touchdown and three intercepts in three starts. He was fired three times and posted on League-Low 35.3 Quarterback Rating (QBR).
Starting with left -wing Tackle Zach Banner is also experience to return this week for Houston after missing time for personal reasons.
2. DC Pass Rusher Andre Mintze Defensive player of the year buzzing
One of the reasons why the defenders have the best record in the competition is because of their defense, led by Mintze, who ended last week with two bags and two forced junk in route to UFL Defensive Player of the Week.
Mintze is bound by the League lead in Sacs (3.0), along with two forced rommas and two messy recovery that went in week 4. Others who have played well include Roughnecks Safety Leon O’Neal, who has Pick-Six, a bag and 14 combined tackles. Michigan Cornerback DJ Miller leads the competition with two interceptions, while Memphis Linebacker Steele Chambers Tops in the UFL is with 27 combined tackles.
3. Battlehawks stands for Renegades in Game of the Week
In a fight for second place in the XFL conference, Arlington and St. Louis will try to get back on the right track after those teams that lose losing in week 3.
For the Battlehawks that means bringing QB Manny Wilkins back to the way he played earlier this season; I turned the ball three times in a loss of housing for the defenders last week. St. Louis, the best hasty team in the UFL, ended with only 61 hasten recruiting against DC. Things can be difficult for St. Louis again this week, because they are confronted with an Arlington defense that allows League-Low 73.3 Hurry Recruit a competition.
For the Renegades they have to find out to get to the end zone after they had not scored a touchdown in a thes to the stallions last week. Arlington’s attack finished 0-out-4 in the red zone against Birmingham.
4. QB Experry Remains the starter of the showboats – for now
Although he threw back-to-back and was replaced by Troy Williams in the second half of the loss of Memphis for Houston last week, Perry gets his fourth start in a row for the show boats while they compete against the Panthers.
Memphis, you have promised to play both Perry and Williams this season, with mixed results. In three starts, Perry is 28 of 45 (62.2%) for 298 Yards, one touchdown pass and two interceptions.
Williams, who led the Pittsburgh Maulers to the USFL title game for two years, is 8 for 11 (72.7%) for 104 Yards, without touchdowns and a interception. Williams has 35 hasten recruiting to Perry’s 33. The showboats on average only 13.7 points per match, the second lowest in the competition.
5. Coaching Carrousel continues while Ken Whisenhunt permanently steps away
Two weeks after returning to the field, the UFL announced that the head coach of the showboats permanently stepped away for personal reasons personally. Offensive line coach Jim Turner will again serve as an interim head coach of Memphis for the rest of the season. Noel Mazzone, who previously worked as the offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Breakers of the Legacy Usfl when Turner was at that staff, will serve as the new offensive coordinator for Memphis.
“The time you eat to step out of the game and take a break of football,” said Whisenhunt in a prepared explanation. “I’m so fat for my time with the players and I wish that the best.”
In other coaching news, the competition also announced that Taton Payton Pardee, who has just been elevated from reception/special teams coach to offensive coordinator last week, will also serve as an interim head coach for San Antonio, while Wade Phillips takes a leave for personal reasons.
