The New York Giants have many needs that come from a miserable 3-14 season, but they all fall above them. Even co-owner John Mara said that finding a quarterback of the future was their “no. 1 song” this season.
The NFL design of 2025 is their last chance to find one.
They will certainly get the chance, as third as general and high in rounds 2 and 3, too. But exactly when they will do it, and who will be that quarterback is still too mystery. So here is a peak in what they think on their way to the design and a project of how thing could come out in our Giants 7-Round Mock Draft:
First round, 3rd General: Edge Abdul Carter” Penn State
The Giants are in a difficult place because they definitely have to find a quarterback in this design, and the one they want the most – the Cam Ward from Miami – goes number 1 to the Titans. They also do not seem completely sold on the Sanders of the best Prospect-Colorado. However, they will probably get the chance to get him, if the Cleveland Browns WR/CB take striking Travis Hunter at number 2, of which different sources believe they are going to do.
But I don’t think Sanders is high enough on the Giants board to justify him that he is taking over the best defensive player in the concept. Carter, who had 12 bags last season and had 23.5 tackles for loss, is clearly the best. He is an explosive pass rusting or the giants do not seem to have World Carter’s foot injury Eithher. They believe that he will be ready to play this summer and see him as a Micah Parsons-like weapon that can be anywhere on the field and add what a dangerous front can be that Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dexter Lawrence also include.
No, it doesn’t go to their “number 1 number”. But they have added two experienced quarterbacks this season in Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. And they have a few valuable picks coming. In the meantime, however, Carter will help build the type of defense that Cary with a team with offensive problems.
Second round, 34th General: QB Jalen Milroe” Alabama
If the giants do not believe enough in a quarterback to take him at number 3, they are Rebiluly right not to force it. But they will have to force it everywhere in this design. They just can’t get out without a quarterback, they think you will start for them in 2026.
Good for them that having the second choice of the second round gives them options – including the possibility to act in the end of the first round. Sanders and Ole Miss Qb Jaxson Dart Probabry will not last long enough for them. But the next group – Tyler Shaugh by Louisville, Kyle McCord from Syracuse, Quinn Ewers and Milroe from Texas – should all be within reach.
And Milroe may fit perfectly. He will make many comparisons with Jalen Hurts while he is behind Wilson and Winston for a year and is working on his accuracy and teaches the nuances to read NFL defenses. He is an explosive athlete that is dangerous on the flight and has an NFL arm that simply needs to be used a little. Head coach Brian Daboll gets a full year to develop him. Looking and learning from a player like Wilson will not hurt Eithher.
Third round, 65th General: DT Darius Alexander” Toledo
The missing piece on the front line of the Giants that really unleashes Coul is another defensive tackle that can remove some of the pressure of All-Pro Dexter Lawrence. The 6-foot-4, 305 pound Alexander has the potential to be that guy. I had a big week in the senior bowl, where the attacking rulers I practice when there are questions about the level of competition with which he was confronted with Toledo. He had 7.5 bags in the last two seasons, and he has all the measurable, including long arms (34 inches) and fast legs (I drove to 4.95 in the 40). He would be difficult for the giants to leave.
Third round, 99th General: RB Cam skattebo” Arizona State
They have done a lot of work on running during the pre-Draft process, which Sems to indicate that they are looking for a backfield partner for Tyrone Tracy. However, it is not a high-quality position in the world of General Manager Joe Schoen, so don’t expect them to take the leap until day 3. But they can tackle this need quickly, especially if this 5-fo-9, 219-pound batter is still available. I was able to be the power complement for the movements and speed of tracy. He can also give the Giants a valuable receiver from the Achterveld. I had 45 catches for 605 Yards for the Sun Devils last season to go on the ground with his 1,711 Yards and 21 TouchDowns.
Fourth Round, 105th General: OL Cameron WilliamsTexas
The Giants cannot, as always, come from this design without at least one attacking line perspective, and maybe two. However, the good news is that they have added enough experienced rulers that they don’t have to have read to play. They need someone who is ready to get in as a starting guard or right tackle -submotime in the coming years. The 6-foot-6, 317 pound Williams is that kind of development perspective. His size and skills can get him off the board sooner, but he only started one season and he sprained his knee in the play -offs of the University Football. If that drops him so far, the Giants will get a potential future starter at Eithher Tackle or Guard.
Fifth round, 154th General: S Jaylen ReedPenn State
The Giants have made a large free investment in Jevon Holland, but there is room for competition on the other safety spot with second-IR Pro Tyler Nubin. The 6-foot, 211-pound reed is a hard safety with an aggressive style. The giants should rule that in order to make him a consistent consistent consistent, because the mistakes will catch up with him at the NFL level. But the skills and the potential are there, and have a Speem -Demon could be while he makes his way in the defensive line -up.
Seventh round, 219th General: CB Mac McWilliamsCentral Florida
A few scouts fell in love with his one season at UCF, after switching from Alabama-Birmingham. His broth rose even more after a strong week in the senior bowl and with the 4.41 that I have in the 40 with the mowing porter. But others have not forgotten that he was very good at UAB and was probably not on his way to the NFL while he was there. SubeOne could have a chance on the potential of this 5-foot-10, 191-Peid one round or two earlier. But the questions if he was a one -year -old miracle, not to mention his light framework, could keep him that far. The giants must continue to add to their department in the corner, and he has the potential to compete for nickel corner spot for Subone.
Seventh round, 246th General: WR Will SheppardColorado
Everything the Giants did from Sanders and Hunter will not be lost, the best they noticed Sheppard and his 48 catches for 621 yards and six touchdowns while watching those competitions. Those figures are simple example what the 6-foot-2, 198 pounds also produced in each of his three seasons as a starter at Vanderbilt. He is a model of consistency and a good route buyer who thinks sub -scouts that he could produce more if he was more a recommended part of his team’s attack. And it certainly hurt the giants to build an arsenal of potential weapons for whom they tables as their quarterback of the future.
