Justin Thomas trying to do something PGA Tour hasn’t seen in 2025

Justin Thomas shot at 61 to start his RBC heritage and does not surprisingly keep the lead of the first round. Because what is worth it was bound for the best scoring record of 18-hole at the RBC, but it is the lowest opening round score ever (Cam Smith had 62 in 2021).

It is never easy to go wire-for-wire in a sport where you have the task, and we are deep enough in the PGA Tour season that we have a legitimate sample size to work on submo things … including this vray.

Due to 16 Starts on tour this season No player you have successfully won after you have gave the opening round ahead and JT himself is no longer done since the BMW championship 2019.

In general, Thomas 4 for 11 is to convert this type of lead into a possible victory. While the last he cashed in in 2019 was his last opening round perige in 2019, the 2024 Genesis Scothish was open. I finally finished in 62nd place.

If Thomas is going to win this weekend, he must cause this to be a tough competition to do this. Russell Henley, winner of another characteristic event this season in the API, and Scottie Scheffler, who is still looking for his first victory of the season, are both three strokes back. Wyndham Clark, who finished in the T3 event last year, is another behind it. Justin Rose is only two strokes of it, because he still plays well after his loss of Rory McIlroy in last week’s Masters.

The point is … the Golf is pretty good, people.
