Justin Thomas won the RBC heritage on Sunday and what a victory it was.
Thomas finished his 72nd hole at -17 for the tournament. Andrew Novak, who saw his first career victory on tour, was in the combination behind him and had a putt on 18 with a chance to win it. Unfortunately for Novak he missed and the duo went to a play -off, just a week after the masters also brought us to one.
JT was able to let his Birdie Putt sink on the Cracst Playoff Hole and took the victory, his first as husband and first as a father.
The start marked number 250 from JT’s career so far, which is in hand to think in and in itself. Although that is the case, it was also the 59th start since Thomas won the 2022 PGA championship that his most recent victory was on tour prior to Sunday.
When securing the victory, Thomas became the first player this season to turn an opening of a 18-hole lead into a victory. Although he did not lead a thread, JT led after both the first and the second rounds.
Although nothing can be compared to Augusta, the RBC delivered rather serious pleasure and intrigues on the weekend. After all, this was the design of the characteristic events of the PGA Tour.
The following on the schedule is the Zurich classic of New Orleans, where Rory McCilroy and Shane Lowry, about the masters, are spoken to defend their title.
