For the entire week on Formula 1 Grand Prix, it seemed that McLaren would lock the front row during qualifying. Teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri took turns at the top of the timing magazines in practice, and the rest of the schedule pointed to the McLaren duo as again the Domainnt Force on their way to qualifying.
While Piastri held up his end of the bargain and took the pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix of Sunday, Norris was depressed and looking for answers after the end of more than four tenths behind his teammate, qualifying sixth.
‘I didn’t even go a tenth faster [on his second Q3 lap]”Norris said to Sky Sports F1 After being eligible.
