Lee Corso’s 3 best destinations for final ‘College GameDay’ appearance

A university football legend steps away from the competition.

ESPN announced on Thursday that Lee Corso, the old analyst at the network and one of the faces of College GamedayWill resign after a final show, on Saturday, August 30.

For many, Corso was the face of the sport. His tradition of attracting headwear to close every week became the stuff of College Football -Lore, and would alleviate social media from social media on Saturday.

But with one last ride on the horizon, where should that take place?

Old rule in Indiana

It may not be the best matchup on the schedule, but Corso and Gameday On the way to Indiana is very logical.

Part of Corso’s origin story and his role on College GamedayIs that from ‘coach’. Coach Corso spends for decades – in fact a life – around the college game.

While his coaching career included many stops, including a Stint in Louisville as head coach, where he coached future SPN colleague Tom Jackson and the cardinals led to only Eir Second Bowl match in school history, his longest piece came to Indiana.

Corso Coachet de Hoosiers for ten seasons and led Indiana to an 8-4 record and won in the Holiday Bowl during the 1979 campaign.

Old Dominion against Indiana may not be the biggest matchup on the slate that week, but it is a case of Corso that comes home one last time.

Alabama in the state of Florida

Before he was a Coach Corso, he was for the player.

And a damn good one at that.

Corso was a striking one on both sides of the ball during his time in the state of Florida, like Bot a defensive back and a quarterback. Corso, who went on the campus the nickname “Sunshine Scooter”, was also a roommate of the former football player of the state of Florida and future actor, Burt Reynolds.

During his time in the state of Florida I remembered 14 interceptions, which stood like a school record until it was broken more than two decades too late. He is currently third on that list, connected to another coach.

Dion Sanders.

Dispatch Gameday Custom would also be a case of Corso coming home, but where it all started for him.

Texas in the state of Ohio

While his playing and coaching days started elsewhere, the legend of Lee Corso on Gameday Started in the state of Ohio.

Back in October 1996, College Gameday Was in Columbus for a meeting between Penn State and the state of Ohio. At the end of the show when the crew made their choices, Corso interrupted his by picking up to Brutus Head and attracting it, much to the joy of the collected Buckeyes fans who watch live:

That was the first time that Corso set up a Brutus head, but certainly not the last. According to Terrible announcement Corso has worn that headgear more than any oher, 45 times during his Storac run College Gameday.

It may not be a surprise to see that.

This is also a fairly good game, because it is a reoclech of a semi -final of the College Football Playoff, and there is the bend factor.
