Rory Mcilroy is a masterful start at Augusta and closes to Career Grand Sam
McIlroy ran to the best start of the masters you have in his 91-year-old history, with six straight 3s on his score card that shot him in the lead on Saturday and left him 18 holes away from that coveted green jacket and the career Grand Slam.
McCilroy broke in for Eagle as part of his amazing start and then delivered another eagle in the round, while contenders stood behind him in the row, a majestic 6-iron to 6 feet on the par-5 15th hole that wore him to a second straight 66.
“It was a great day and brings me to a great position to go in tomorrow,” said McIlroy. “I just have to stay firm and just stay in my own little world.”
At stake, Sunday is a chance for scientists, only the sixth player to catch all four professional Majors, a performance last account, almost 25 years ago by Tiger Woods at the British Open.
Bryson Deschambeau continues to impress in the third round
McIlroy led by two shots about a well-known enemy-deckhaeau, who himself supplied Submagie with a 45-foot Birdie Putt to start his round and a putt of almost 50 feet for Birdie on the 18th hole that gave him at the age of 69.
Patrick Reed and Ludvig Åberg make Saturday movements at the Masters
Reed, the 2018 Masters Champion, shot a 3-end 69 to give itself at least an external chance to chase McIlroy during the last 18 holes. Reed closed with three birdies over his last six holes. Åberg also made a late move, with three straight Birdies from Nos. 14-16 in its round of 69. Both were 6 -under 210, six shots behind McIlroy.
“You just never know, but you expect to play the best round you have,” said Reed. “I think I am Uble to win this golf tournament. I have to shoot my lowest round I have ever shot here on Sunday.”
Leave the PGA tour left for LIV-Golf by Saudi-financed, has a head gestation schedule, individual playing events on the European and Asian tours. That did not prevent him from falling outside the top 100 in the world ranking, but the 34-year-old Riet said that his ball striking might be better than ever.
Defending champion Scottie Scheffler is unable to make a movement, paths with 7 shots
The defensive Masters champion did not succeed in taking advantage time and time again, leaving seven shots behind McIlroy with one round left.
Scheffler was not a strong Saturday and failed to give himself a lot of Birdie opportunities. In fact, he spent the vast majority of the day to save par and the reality is that his Even-PAR 72 could have been much wose.
“I just couldn’t get anything wrong,” Scheffler said. “I actually had to go to Lot Scrolmble today.
To Scheffler Comesibel Comesibel. Everything can happen on Sunday at the Masters.
In 1956 Jack Burke Jr., 33 years old Pro who had not won a tournament since 1953, leader Ken Venturi with eight strokes who came in the final round and came after winning after shooting 71.
Scheffler, who is bound for the seventh, would even need a Hage Day troblay, even the personal best round of 66 at Augusta National and various others to collapse, including McIlroy, who won Sems Sems Atem Elite Group from players who have won Golf’s Career Grand Slam.
Min Woo Lee has punished because he moved his ball on 13th hole
Lee was punished after his third round in the Masters on Saturday after tournament officials had established that he caused his ball on the 13th Fairway, causing his par on the hole in a bogey and his score was turned into a 5-over 77.
Augusta National said in a statement that Lee asked for a civil servant after I noticed that his ball had been moved, and it was determined that “his actions near the ball caused it to move.”
Lee, 26-year-old Australian with a large supporter on social media, won his first tour title on the Houston Open two weeks ago. He plays in his fourth masters, with his best finish a draw for 14th three years Aug.
Former Masters champion Zach Johnson shoots 66, his best at Augusta National
Zach Johnson felt nostalgic after his third round in the Masters on Saturday.
The 49-year-old made six Birdies during an eight-hole stretch and made it turn and managed to shoot 66 left late bogey. It was the best score of the 2007 champion in 65 career rounds at Augusta National, and one that seemed to have come out of nothing – 28 consecutive rounds with the Masters went since his last in the 60s.
Johnson made the reduction on the number on 2-over par on Friday. The moment he completed his third round on Saturday, he was 4 under the tournament and in one 11th, a jump of 29 places on the rankings.
His unexpected Chargen Beurs before the rest of the leaders came off with 41-footer for Eagle on the par-5 second. But it really went on the ninth, when Johnson made the first back-back birdies.
On the famous Par-3 12th, known as the “Golden Bell”, he put his approach from 155 meters in 15 feet for another Birdie. At the next place, Johnson was short of Rae’s Creek, hit a wedge on 2 feet and made Birdie again. And that patient, the conservative approach continued to bear fruit with another birdie on the par-5 15th, when Johnson dropped another neat wedge within 3 feet.
His best shot may have arrived at the Par-3 16th and plays 170 meters over the water. Johnson stuck it in the foot.
