The LPGA Tour returned to action on Thursday when they started playing at the JM Eagle the Championship. With the first major of the season in the Chevron championship that takes place Next Week this is the last time that players really lock them up while they are preparing.
Among those who are SuppD ready for Houston was Madelene Sagstrom when she hunted the first bait of the season on her last hole for an opening round of 65. That is hard to beat.
World number one Nelly Korda immediately finished on the heels of Sagstrom with a 5-end day at 67. Although that is impressive in and in itself, which stood out private, that Korda was an event Single Green in Regulation Hitte on Thursday. It was the first time she did that since the BMW Ladies Championship 2023.
The opening round of Korda had a total of 8 Birdies, including 4 in a row of holes 3-6. That is a different level of locked.
She eventually had six thorough shots from 105 to 130 meters away and landed on an average proximity of 7 feet, 8 inches. I go on a limb and say that she will be read before Houston next week.
The JM Eagle The Championship will continue to play on Friday and can be on Golf Canal from 6-9 pm et.
