The class of Pass Rushers this year varies deeply, and the NFL concept of 2025 could see a record number of defensive ends and get out of the board outside of Linebackers.
Normally we would rank the top 10, but that may not even come until the end of the round 2 this year, so we have expanded with the top 14 players at the Edge position -all players who receive voices in the top 10 of our collection of concept experts from our 32 NFL Team sites.
We must note that together we can find Grouming Pass Rushers like Edge Rushers, which means that you could find subsumers who are labeled as a defensive end and subsubs as external Linebacker.
The upper edge Rushers in the 2025 NFL concept
14. Josaiah Stewart, Michigan
The resident of Massachusetts originally started his university football career in Coastal Carolina, where his teammate Isaiah probably – now at the Baltimore Ravens – also became a member of the team. After earning back-to-back All-Sun Riem Subjesions, I was transferred to Michigan in 2023. On only 6’1 “and 249 pounds with 32” poor, he was never able to recapture the magic of his 12.5-year first-year season at the Big Ten-Level, but he is an interesting, substandard, pass-up pass. He never worked at the mowing porter because of a hamstring problem and did not ran on Michigan’s Pro Day in March, so we may never get an answer to the athletics he really is – a potential red flag.
13. Kyle Kennard, South Carolina
Kyle Kennard came out of nowhere last season. After recording 12.5 bags for four years at Georgia Tech, Kennard placed 11.5 bags in his only year at South Carolina. For that effort, he was rewarded with consensus All-American, SEC Defense Player of the Year and Bronko Nagurski Trophy Honors. While Kennard was a high-level pass-up at Lasson at university level, there are questions about whether his high playing style will translate into the next level. With only 254 pounds, I only drove 4.73 seconds 40-year dashboard and it is not bad to be a randbuger on film.
12. JT Timoloau, Ohio State
JT Timoloau, a former five-star recruit that had Power Conference offers to play basketball, has been on NFL Radars for years. In each of his last three seasons, he was born of the first team All-Big Ten player. He is more Burssty than Bendy as a athlete, which helps him more against the run than the pass. Yet I have finished breaking the breakthrough in 2024, when he broke up previous record of five bags in a season to post 12.5. He also does an excellent job to get the passing lanes of Quarterbacks on 6’4 “with 34” arms. Tuimoloau has no elite properties, but he is a solid fully defensive end.
11. Landon Jackson, Arkansas
Originally a defensive tackle for LSU, Landon Jackson moved to Arkansas after playing only five games as a real first-year student in 2021. The Texarkana product decreased to 264 pounds by the Scouting Combine, which allows him to make an incredible dash in Detondense in the end of Defeeconden in the end of dashed-second-second-second-second-second-second-second-second-second-second-second-second-s-yer-yard-second-yard-second-yard-second-Yard-second-Yard-second-yard-yard-yard-yard-way way first round will go.
10. Jack Sawyer, Ohio State
Jack Sawyer becomes a player who works with a 3-4 schedule value more than 4-3 teams, simply because he is a more all-round player than a real Edge-Bender. The fact that Sawyer can put a considerable lead and actually covered 6’4 ”and 260 pounds will make him a level more valuable for teams who want to use it in a Preston Smith-like role in a 3-4 scheme. Sawyer was for a former five-star recess that had Back-to-Back from second-Team.
9. Prinely UMERMIELEN, Mississippi
After having spent four years in Florida, princely UMANMIELEN went to Ole Miss in 2024, where he achieved all seconds for the second time in his university career. He is the second of three defensive rulers of the university among his brothers, with PriceWill, a Nebraska transfer, after the footsteps of Princy with the rebels for the 2025 season. Princely a high-quality pass-Rushing option after the wave of first rounders has come from the board. Although he will not surprise you with elite atletics, on the relative scale of NFL starters, I have consistently found ways to come after the quarterback. That is a reason why he was able to collect 17.5 pockets in the last two years, usually against Sec Play, listening to running at 7.33 seconds three-cone during the pre-Draft process.
8. Donovan Ezeiraku, Boston College
The most unique pass Rusher in this class is Donovan Ezeiraku from Boston College, who plays a bit like a sawn -off Chandler Jones. Insentad of the 6’5 “with 35” poor that Jones, however, was Ezeiruaku, is 6’2 “with 34” poor. He is more a slow-burn pass Rusher than you would expect for subs under 250 pounds, because he does not have a great first step. That is usually a game-end for smaller ends, but he is such an advanced and traditional pass-ruscher that he was a table to post 16.5 bags in 2024, which earned all-American awards. The age of 21 is a bit of a gamble, just because we have never seen a long-term Euro step pass-ruher come in a 68-pound package of a 6’2 ”, but his technical skill can help him overcome his weight and first step knocks.
7. Nic Scourton, Texas A&M
In 2024 there were high expectations for Nic Scourton, who was one of the biggest transfers in the portal. At Purdue, Scourton was named an all-big ten player after the conference with 10 bags in 2023. I posted only five bags at A&M, which was very disappointing compared to his presason hype. He was mentioned by the aggies with 285 pounds, which was the weight he seemed to follow, but he chose 257 pounds for the mowing porter. In reality, I also worn a lot of “bad weight” to play a Run-first Rale in the Texas A&M schedule last year. If you really want to feel for the Bull Rusher, you have to go into Purdue in his 2023 tape, because NFL teams almost certainly want him to play closer to his combination weight at the next level.
6. James Pearce Jr., Tennessee
While the majority of the top edge paints were played at university level from position, a player who benefited from the right position on a down-to-down base of James Pearce Jr. van Tennessee. Tennessee did everything to ensure that Pearce was the “open” ending one-on-play against tackles instead of on the side of the tight end-to an extreme degree. When tight ends were set over the formation, the volunteers would often turn their entire defensive box so that Pearce could get one -On opportunities. Pearce was also allowed to play in a broad technique, making him more a pass-rower than a really defensive end. With only 245 pounds, he can eventually settle in a designated pass-ruscher role at the NFL level, where he can offer speeds more value to teams for 4.47 seconds. He is more of a clean-up player and good because of his speed-the sumone that quickly creates busy when passing downs.
5. Mike Green, Marshall
Originally recruited as a Pass-Catcher in Virginia, Mike Green eventually led the FBS in bags in 2024 with 17 for Marshall. As a purely designated pass-ruscher, Green is the player of the second dast in this class behind only Abdul Carter from Penn State. For a 6’3 ”, 251 pound end of a group of incentive program, I am a better Run defender than you would expect, he plays partly as if his hair is on fire. At the mowing porter, Green spoke to two accusations of sexual violence, dating back to high school Virginia.
4. Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M
One of the players with the widest range of results in this design is Texas A & M’s Shemar Stewart, who has all the properties you have asked from a defensive end, but none of the production. In three years, the former five-star reckut booked only 4.5 bags. While I improved every year as a run at A&M, the defense was mainly aimed at stopping the run instead of coming after the quarterback, which showed off at play and RPO representatives-a good quantity of the passions with which the aggies were confronted in the sec. That said, Stewart’s first step is the best in the class at 6’5 ”and 267 pounds. I posted at 4.59 seconds 40-yard dash and 40” Vertical jump on the cutterpower, both figures for a player of his size.
3. Mykel Williams, Georgia
Elf Travon Walker was set as the first general, the Georgia Bulldogs essentially stopped five-star Mykel Williams in their 4i-role in the defense of the Bulldogs immediately. Williams often played in the defensive interior for Georgia, only because of the structure of Esir defense, but is no experience to play them.
2. Jalon Walker, Georgia
One of the Tugest projections in the design is whether Jalon Walker is being played full-time on the edge. On 6’1 ”and 243 pounds, he does not have the frame on paper or the power on film to consistently keep the lead at the NFL level. Having said that, he was born in the first LineBacker-Rol. Down Defensive End, which could limit how many Pass-Rushing opportunities he will have in his NFL career.
1. Abdul Carter, Penn State
The Consensus Top Pass-Russher in this class and probably top-five selection is Abdul Carter from Penn State, who was just one Ange an off-ball Linebacker for the Nittany Lions. In his first year on the outskirts he was earning 12 SACS and an FBS-donating 24 tackles for loss on the way to All-American and Big in Defensive Player of the Year Honors. Carter does not expect it to be a leading Edge-Setter on just 6’3 “and 250 pounds, but his athletics makes him an excellent pass-rush Linebacker, which gives him value as a dropper in basic defense looks.
