RBC Canadian Open: Ryan Fox wins after four-hole play-off against Sam Burns for title | Golf News

Ryan Fox won a dramatic play-off of four holes against Sam Burns to win the RBC Canadian open, his second PGA Tour title.

The New Zealander holds a 16-foot Birdie Putt link on the 18th to take it to a play-off, Burns holds the clubhouse lead of 18 below, after earlier card of an eight-under 62, until the last moments of the fourth round.

Meanwhile, Kevin Yu, Matt McCarty and Cameron Young have qualified for the 153rd open at Royal Portush via the Canadian Open.

Yu claimed the first qualifying place after he finished third behind the already exempt Burns and Fox on 17 under par, one stroke for both McCarty and Young who were bound at 16 under couple at the age of 16.
