Augusta, g. – Rory McIlroy had not won any major in 11 years before his incredible triumph at Augusta National on Sunday evening. But he hadn’t won a major with his Caddy, Harry Diamond, on the bag.

As a result, McIlroy and Diamond had lost a lot of anti -aircraft weather over the years, in which they have revised an attack of criticism from fans, experts and media because of their failures to win the biggest tournaments. Look no further than the US Open in Pinehurst No. 2 last year.

But Diamond, who took over for JP Fitzgerald in 2017, has known McCilroy for almost three decades. The two Ulthermen met each other on the Putting Green at their home job, Holywood Golf Club Buiten Belfast, when McIlroy was only seven years old.

So when Eamon Lynch from the Golf Canal McIlroy asked about what it was like for Diamond to share this dream for him, McIlroy couldn’t help it, but choked.

“We had soy good times together. He has been through my life through my life as a big brother,” said McCilroy, fighting tears back.

“To be this to share this with him after the close calls that we have had, since the nonsense that he had to take a people that it cannot think of better sharing than he.”

After I missed a putt to win the 72nd Green, McIlroy went to the scoring tent to sign his card and to gather his thoughts earlier to the play -off with Justin Rose.

Subject, the now 5 times large champion gathered, thanks in part to Diamond.

“Well, Pal, we would have taken this on Monday morning,” Diamond told his husband.

“Yes, we would have done absolutely,” replied McIlroy.

McIlroy de Degrekte an incredible drive, stuck his approach of four feet and won the masters.

Everyone was looking forward, McIlroy and Diamond embraced and the Haters suckled.
