Rory McIlroy career perspective obvious at Zurich Classic one year later

While the LPGA tour starts a first major of the year this week in the Chevron Championship in The Woodlands, the PGA Tour has one of its more unique offers that are not too far away in New Orleans.

The Zurich Classic is where the PGA Tour meets this week and the team format is what it separates from any other normal event that we see on an annual basis in the season. It is always fun and looking at the best players in the world.

As if the event did not pull you into the attraction of Team Golf, this year it has the ruling Masters champion who makes his first official debut since winning the Green Jacket. Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry won the Zurich per year and will try to defend their title this year. Rory Jus does this, because Subeone WHHO has reached the career Grand SLL.

McIlroy has also won other times this season. In 2025 alone, he won during the dream courses of Sare People in Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and clear Augusta. Saying that his game is in peak shape is putting the light. He dances through victories over Sum of Golf’s most ionic locations.

No matter how strange this sounds, that idea may seem far -fetched against the McIlroy that appeared on the Zurich a year Aphra. At that time his game was in a questionable place, relatively speaking, and he had to deal with his personal life discussed by the world.

Rory thought about it on Wednesday and noticed how things seem to stay different for a year.

Yes, if you had a year to year if I were here in this position and everything that happened. But yes, I honestly couldn’t be professionally in a better place in my life, personally.

Yes, it is amazing what a year can do. Yes, this tournament last year was a very cool moment for both of us. I think it is probably a bit of joy back in golf for me in a number of ways back in Golf, which I think it is really, very important, not to liss it.

Yes, I had a great year for me last year, and I think this tournament was a kind of catalyst for the really good wave that I played the rest of the year.

As for last season, Rory de Held Dubai Desert Classic had won prior to the Zurich with his compatriot Shane Lowry. After that victory, he was as well as to win in the Wells Fargo. He noticed, perhaps notorious, in second place in Pinehurst during the US Open and closed his season with a victory at the DP World Tour Championship in November.

Since the though Rory has been admitted to tear. In his seven starts during the calendar year since the DP world. Tour title He has the three victors as a note. He has 6 wins in his last 25 starts worldwide, 20 top 15 finishes (including tires) and only a single missed cut. It is amazing.

Data Golf

You will notice that this data set starts (at the bottom of the image) with the RBC heritage the week before last year’s Zurich Classic. It is clearly impossible to save to Rory’s personal life in a better place like he can only, but from a wave position he is absolutely right. I have experienced a huge run, where the most recent leg is the most six -maricer in his Stora career.

Jonathan Larson wrote Rent That it is difficult to measure and pontifies on measures to do this until the year. It is difficult to know exactly how Rory measures in his personal and professional life in the last 365 days (give or take), but there has clearly been a lot that had had.

Good for him.
