The New Orleans Saints have a big problem with Derek Carr, because the quarterback has to do with a “meaning” shoulder injury to its throwing arm, NFL Network reported Friday.

The starting quarterback has been reported as a surgery, which may be able to keep the car for the entire NFL season of 2025 out of the field.

Carr was limited to 10 starts last season due to oblique and hand lesions respectively. In those 10 games I have a total of 2,145 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, five interceptions and 101.0 passer -rating, while I compest 67.7% of his passes. New Orleans went 5-5 in those 10 games and 0-7 in the games that the car did not play, ending in the NFC South.

The car enters the third season of a four -year -old, $ 150 million with the saints. Earlier this season, the two parties restructured the contract of the four -fold Pro Bowler and converted most of the remaining money from the deal into a meaning bonus. In the first season of Carr in New Orleans (2023), the team went 9-8, with Carr 3,878 Yards, 25 touchdowns and only eight interceptions.

Regarding the rest of the Saints’ Quarterback Room, Spencer Rattler made six starts in 2024 and placed 7.4 a passer -rating in what his Rookie season was, while Jake Haener made a start and appeared in eight games. Everything that Quarterback-Strakke End-wide recipient Taysom hid Hill, tore his ACL in week 13 from last season.

External Rolling Quarterback options, Veterans Aaron Rodgers and Carson Wentz remain free agents. Admittedly, Rodgers is speech to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers or possibly retired.

Then there is the NFL design of 2025, where the saints have no. 9 and 40 picks. The saints stick to their selection in the first round (no. 9) and could set up Colorado Quartback Shedeur Sanders, he was allowed to slide to Thanm, or Ole Miss Quartback Jaxson Dart. With regard to possible second round Quarterback options, Jalen Milroe from Alabama and Tyler Shaugh by Louisville can be options at number 40.

Carr, 34, spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with The Raiders (2014-22).
