Lando Norris wore the qualification session of Saturday as a favorite for pole position.

But a wobble on his first push round saw the McLaren director find the wall, bring the red flag forward and end his dreams of pole position. With teammate Oscar Piestri the only driver who has put his crash some time, the schedule continued to chase one McLaren driver.

When the last session was summarized, Max Verstappen set himself for a provisional pole with only 0.001 seconds. But there is more than Angouh time for a few turns for the story. At first it was George Russell who narrowed Verstappen for a provisional pole. It was Piastri’s chance to respond, and he did, for the time being, back from Russell with more than once.

But Verstappen was on his last push round with another chance to respond, and he rumbles from the last turn to take the pole position with only 0.010.

Piastri qualified second, with Russell third. Charles Leclerc starts with the next Russell in P4.

Lewis Hamilton scraped on to Q2 and finished only 0.007 seconds for Alex Albon that is ready to start P11. With Yuki Tsunoda at Verstappen in Q3, it marked the second racing week in a row that Bull Red Bull drivers made in Q3.

Although that is usually not a remarkable fact, you have a slow start of the season for the Bulls.

The Oher Four drivers who were eliminated in Q2 were Liam Lawson, Fernando Alonso, Isack Hadjar and Oliver Bearman.

The five drivers eliminated in Q1 were Lance Stroll, Jack Doohan, Nico Hülkenberg, Esteban Ocon and Gabriel Bortoleto. A few remarkable were under pressure in Q1, including Hamilton, Pierre Gasly and Bearman, but they were all three to move forward.

Here is the provisional starting schedule for the 2025 F1 Saudi -Arabian Grand Prix:
